This new and unique Dutch hotel chain offers you stunning, hip, contemporary places to stay in Amsterdam. If we had to define them we’d probably call them eco design hotels. Conscious Hotels strive to be as green, sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. But they’re more hip than hippy. And by hip we don’t mean their staff are too cool to answer the phone. You might not even notice some of their ‘green’ decisions because they just quietly get on with being kind to the planet in the background.
Hip, friendly, green & fun

Wedged between shoarma- and french fries shops is the unimaginable narrow and steep entrance to the hotel, which wanders through three exsisting buildings. Although fashion was the key focus, calling Hotel The Exchange a fashion hotel wouldn’t do it justice. The concept: ‘ a hotel with rooms dressed as models’ forced the designers to approach every single room as a body, as a model. Rooms that hold amongst other things a Rembrandt collar or a Marie-Antoinette dress, as a tribute to the 17th century buildings the’re hosted in. Other rooms are inspired on a denim jacket, wallflowers or Frida Khalo’s wardrobe.
